10.000 ton production in Ísafjarðardjúp
Arnarlax has sent in an environmental report for 10.000 tons production in Ísafjarðardjúp. Arnarlax started the application process in 2016 but was delayed because of the MRI risk assessment that did not allowed farming of fertile salmon in the fjord.
In March 2020, MRI introduced a new risk assessment that allowed for 12.000-ton maximum biomass of fertile salmon in Isafjardardjup.
Arnarlax will operate on three farming areas, similar to the companies operation in Arnarfjordur.
