Arnarlax strengthens the team

Arnarlax is happy to communicate that our team has been strengthened in central positions over the last recent period of time, making the company even stronger both operationally and strategically.

Kjersti Haugen (54) started as Chief Sales Officer on 06.04.21. She has a long history from the seafood industry working within logistics and sales, on international basis, since 1987. The last year she has been working as COO in Seaborn.

Jón Garðar Jörundsson (39) started as Chief Business Development Officer on 01.02.21. He joined the company in October last year after assisting the company through the IPO process last fall. Jón Garðar was a board member of Arnarlax from 2014 to 2015, the CEO of Hafkalk ehf. from 2012 to 2020, and an Advisor at KPMG from 2010-12.

Johnny Indergård (27) started as Freshwater Manager on 10.02.21. Johnny has 9 years of experience from smolt and postsmolt production from MOWI in Norway.

Hjörtur Methúsalemsson (30) started 15.03.21, as a project manager in our Business development department. Hjörtur has for the past two years been working for the Icelandic Food Authorities (MAST), before that he has experience as the Biological controller in Arnarlax and is now welcomed back to our team.

Rúnar Ingi Pétursson (27) started as production manager in our harvest plant 03.05.21. He has experience from the fishing industry as a fisherman and in a pelagic factory, and he has been the operations manager for a contractor for 4 years.

The new members have diverse education on all levels in addition to a wealth of experience in the industry and we welcome them all to the team.
