Í nýrri samantekt Deloitte um samfélagsslóð Arnarlax eru dregnar saman upplýsingar um alla helstu skatta og opinber gjöld sem samstæðan greiddi og innheimti á Íslandi á árinu 2024, sem og mótframlag í almenna lífeyrissjóði starfsmanna, laun og greiðslur til innlendra birgja.

Árið 2024 nam samfélagsslóð Arnarlax tæpum 11 milljörðum króna þrátt fyrir krefjandi rekstrarár. Síðastliðin fimm ár nam samfélagsslóðin samtals 37 milljörðum króna, sem að stórum hluta rann beint til nærsamfélagsins á Vestfjörðum og Suðurlandi.

Samfélagsslóð Arnarlax árið 2024:

• Verðmætasköpun: 8.164 milljónir kr.

• Greiddir skattar og gjöld: 2.062 milljónir kr.

• Innheimtir skattar og gjöld: 719 milljónir kr.

• Sem jafngildir um 70 milljónum kr. á hvern starfsmann

Arnarlax var stofnað á Bíldudal árið 2010 af hugsjónafólki úr bæjarfélaginu sem þá flokkaðist sem brothætt byggð. Höfuðstöðvar og meginstarfsemi eru á Vestfjörðum með yfir 170 starfsmenn – flestir á Vestfjörðum – og um 83% skatta og gjalda til sveitarfélaga árið 2024 renna þangað.

Árið 2024 var Arnarlax með:

• 1,5% framlag í útflutningsverðmæti Íslands

• 158 stöðugildi, þar af 124 á Vestfjörðum

• 10 milljónir í skattaslóð að meðaltali á hvert stöðugildi

• 30 milljónir í samfélagsstyrki

In a new summary by Deloitte about Arnarlax societal impact, all key information about the group‘s taxes and fees paid and collected in Iceland in 2024 are outlined, as well as contributions to general employee pension funds, salaries, and payments made to domestic suppliers.

In 2024, Arnarlax’s community footprint amounted to nearly ISK 11 billion, despite a challenging operational year. Looking at the past 5 years, the company’s total community footprint amounts to ISK 37 billion. A large portion of this flows directly to the local communities in the Westfjords and South Iceland.

Arnarlax’s Economic Footprint in 2024:

• Value creation: ISK 8,164 million

• Taxes and fees paid: ISK 2,062 million

• Taxes and fees collected: ISK 719 million

• Equivalent to around ISK 70 million per employee

Arnarlax was founded in Bíldudalur in 2010 by local visionaries, at a time when the municipality was classified as a vulnerable settlement. The company’s headquarters and main operations are located in the Westfjords, employing over 170 people—most of whom are based in the region. Approximately 83% of municipal taxes and fees paid in 2024 went to the Westfjords.

In 2024, Arnarlax had:

• A 1.5% contribution to Iceland’s export value

• 158 full-time equivalents, of which 124 were in the Westfjords

• ISK 10 million in tax footprint per full-time equivalent on average

• ISK 30 million in community contributions
