Arnarlax tax footprint for 2019

PWC has done a tax footprint analysis for Arnarlax for operation year of 2019. That year, Arnarlax harvested 10.000 tons of salmon and the tax footprint analysis shows the flow of taxes and fees throughout the community.

The analysis shows an increase in salaries, taxes and fees paid to the municipalities. The total amount of salaries is 1,3 billion isk for 2019, an increase of 25%. Other taxes and fees increased by 27% between 2018 and 2019.

Arnarlax is currently investing in smolt production to meet the allowed biomass licence. The company paid 46 million isk to the Environmental Fund what purpose is to minimize possible impact on nature and wildlife
